In this Christmas spot “Nicholas The Sweep” for UK based supermarket chain Sainsbury’s, we get to experience the epic origin story of Santa set in a fantastical Dickensian London. Our studio was tasked to create the exterior view of the city as well as the surrounding snow landscapes. Directed by Ninian Doff through Pulse Films. VFX by Time Based Arts.

In the last scene of the spot we see how young Santa puts on his red hat surrounded by his reindeers walking off into the distance. For this specific shot the client wanted to capture the feeling of a cold vast winter landscape leading away into the unknown.
